The Home Price Comparison Index provides an index number that helps you quickly approximate how much your home would cost in any one of more than 280 markets across North America.
For example if you live in Denver Colorado, in a home with a market value of $125,000, how much would it cost to replace it with a similar home in Nashville, Tennessee?

1. Find the INDEX NUMBER of the Destination City.

2. Find the INDEX NUMBER of your Home City.

3. Divide the Destination City INDEX NUMBER into the  Home City Index Number.

You now have a New INDEX NUMBER

4. Multiply the Home City Property Value by the NEW INDEX NUMBER. That is the estimated Value of the Home City Property in the Destination City Market or City.

EXAMPLE

To replace a $125,000 home in Denver with a comparably-sized property in Nashville

NASHVILLE, (The Destination City). Index = 78

DENVER, (Home City Property Location) Index = 82

82 divided by 78 = 1.05(=Multiplier)

Home City Property Value = $ 125,000 X 1.05 = $ 131,250

This Estimated Market Value of the Home in Denver if found in Nashville would be Estimated at $ 131,250
